The Romulus Vases feature five hand-thrown vases made of porcelain and covered with an extraordinarily fine texture that resembles "Terre Melée," which is the art of combining stamped clays with colored oxides. The glazing is called an imperial light brown, and each of these vessels looks very much as if it could be an archeological Greek lacrimal vase. Because these are hand-glazed, each piece will vary slightly.
